Acetal / Delrin

Acetal’s are available in fiber reinforced and lubricated molding grades as well as extruded shapes for machined parts.

Dupont Delrin, an acetal resin, is a highly crystalline engineering thermoplastic good for high load mechanical applications, such as gears, safety restraints, door systems, conveyor belts, healthcare delivery devices and components across a diverse range of products and industries. It offers high tensile strength, stiffness & toughness. Acetal has good resistance to organic solvents and other chemicals attacked by strong acids and bases. It is FDA compliant for applications involving contact with food. Its low coefficient of friction and low moisture absorption properties make it a great for high moisture environments. It provides a wide operating temperature range ( -40°C to 120°C)
