Silicone Rubber

Silicone Rubber is a gasket material that is derived from inorganic silica (sand).  Silicone Rubber has excellent weathering properties and handles both hot and cold temperature extremes; resists ozone and oxygen attacks. Silicone Rubber has poor resistance to oils, fuels, and hydrocarbons. Fair performance when exposed to acids, alkalis and solvents. It is odorless and tasteless, it is ideal for certain surgical and food processing applications.
